TPPN would like to get out and about to meet our members.

1. Public Submission for Cahir Town Centre Redevelopment

Tipperary County Council are seeking submissions from every section of the community in Cahir around how The Square in Cahir can be used to deliver a new future for the town and how traffic could be better managed/accommodated in this context.

3. Consultation on Public Service Development and Innovation Framework

A new framework is being prepared to improve and develop Public Services. Your views are sought on the general direction and the 20 actions proposed to be implemented across the Public Service by 2020. 1. Artist Opportunity: Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 Call for Entries

The International Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 is currently open for entries, presenting an opportunity for artists in your network to showcase their work to wider audiences and further their engagement in the art world.

Prizes include £5,000 for the Main Prize winner, a group exhibition for shortlisted artists and editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine (311,000 readership), and publication in the Art Prize Annual, Future Now for 100 shortlisted and longlisted artists.

2. Local Enterprise Office Funding opportunity:
The LEO Innovation Investment Fund is now open for applications. This fund is targeting existing or previous LEO clients or have had communication with the LEO Network in the past. Proposal call for investor ready clients in the manufacturing and traded services sector, who wish to start grow or develop innovative micro business.

3. EU Funding Opportunity for Irish Nonprofits

Have you considered sharing learning with other European organisations? Running a Town Twinning project could be the answer.

You may think twinning is better suited to local authorities but this is no longer the case! Under the Europe for Citizens programme 2016-2020, town twinning and town networking projects can be led by nonprofit organisations including community groups, schools and sporting organisations.

Call for Proposals is now open and closes on 1 September 2017 at 11am.

4. Ireland Wales Call for Proposals

Is your organisation involved in promoting local tourism, eco-tourism, or cultural heritage in the  east or south of Ireland?

If so you may be eligible to apply for a grant under the Ireland Wales Programme 2014-2020.

Writing Changes Lives: Summer Writing Workshop

One-day writing workshop in Brewery Lane Theatre, Carrick-on-Suir, on Saturday 29th July. If you think it’s time for you to experience the pleasures of writing, develop new and original drafts and be part of a supportive writing community then this workshop might be for you. All you will need is a notebook, pen and a desire to write.
Date: Sat. 29th July  – Time: 10am to 4pm
Venue: Brewery Lane Theatre (tea room), Carrick-on-Suir
Fee: €60 (incl. tea/coffee/refreshments but not lunch)

National Heritage Week 

National Heritage Week 2017 which will take place from 19-27 August and we’re making this the year we help more people learn about and enjoy Ireland’s nature.

Heritage Week is the largest cultural event in Ireland with almost 1,000 organisations and individuals involved in hosting over 1,800 unique events in 2016.
The week attracts an annual audience of approximately 430,000 people.

“Jobs for Tipp” Group

PUBLIC MEETING 24th August 8pm. 

Jobs for Tipp will hold a public meeting on the 24th August in the Community Centre, Michael Street, Tipperary Town at 8pm. The purpose of this meeting is to consult with the local people and have a brain storming session on the creation of a plan for Tipperary Town. We want to look at positive ways for all local groups to work together. All members organisations of the PPN Cashel/Tipperary Municipal District are invited to attend this meeting (Due to limited place a maximum of 2 people per organisations/group). We hope create to a united town working for the same goals of bringing industry to the town and area as well as enhancing tourism and heritage.
