Cultivate, the Sustainable Ireland Cooperative in partnership with the Tipperary Public Participation Network and the two Tipperary Development Companies have been successful in an application to the Community Climate Action fund to pilot a local Climate Coach project in County Tipperary
The Community Climate Action Programme: Climate Education, Capacity Building and Learning by Doing (Strand 2) is funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Environment Climate and Communications
The initiative, which will be launched in January 2023, aims to build the capacity of facilitators and trainers from the 5 municipal districts of Tipperary to engage communities in meaningful action on climate and biodiversity.
This project will develop methodologies to reach those most excluded from current climate conversations and support a just transition through sustainable community-led local development.
